I just sit up for a little while.

When I put Ella down for her nap today, we went through her inventory of necessary items. "Where is my ket? Oh, here it is! I put it on the bed. Where is my toys? Where is paci?" (For those of you who are wondering why she would need a pacifier, it is actually the special name she gave to a no-sew blanket she covers up with during her naps. I have no idea where the name came from. It is an Ella original name.) Then she says, "Where is my book?" I told her that she needed to take a nap, but she proceeded to get down off the bed, grab her book and inform me, "I just sit up for a little while." Sure enough, after about 15 minutes of reading to herself she laid down and fell asleep!

Are we lost? No, not yet.

This past weekend Wheezer and Poppers came to visit and see our new house. On Saturday night we went to dinner at a downtown restaurant. On the way home we were taking the scenic route and Scott got temporarily lost. We quickly found our way back to where we needed to be. Poppers asked Ella "Is your Daddy lost?" Ella replied, "No. Not yet." We of course all died laughing!

Wheezer asked Poppers repeatedly on their way home, "Are we lost?" Of course, Poppers replied, "Not yet."

Cute things Ella says

• bye-bye dinosaur (see you later alligator)
• I need a rock (she picks up rocks EVERYWHERE we go!)
• What is this says? (She must have asked Wheezer this about 30 times while looking at crayons the other day)
• I hold Mommy or I hold Daddy (We never hold her. She always holds us.)
• Mommy, I never found you! (she says this every time she is looking for me for more than a few seconds)

If you hang around Ella for more than a few minutes, she will definitly make you laugh!
